Blockbuster musical announced for 2018-2019 season

FRIDAY, March 3 — The Wharton Center announced today that Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking musical “Hamilton” will come to East Lansing as part of the 2018-2019 season.

Dates and ticket sale details will be announced at a later time.

Based on Ron Chernow’s biography of the founding father, “Hamilton” tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a multi-racial cast and a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, “Hamilton” is the story of America then, as told by America now.
