The first of two public meetings on the cities of Lansing and East Lansing’s cultural economic development plan will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, June 29, in the Governor’s Room at the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.

The joint project, sponsored by the cities, Michigan State University and the Michigan Department of History Arts and Libraries, is meant to help stimulate the local economy by growing the region’s arts and culture sector. Participants will get an overview of the planning process and have a chance to share their ideas.
