City Pulse Radio Show April 6: Angela Tripi, Red Cedar, CCFF and 'Coin-Op Carnival'

Posted

On this edition of City Pulse Radio, editor and publisher Berl Schwartz speaks with Ingham Co. Asst. Prosecutor Angela Tripi. She’s aiding in a new program that deals with crimes against members of the queer community.

Not deterred by Michigan’s distinction as one of 16 states whose hate crime law does not include sexual orientation and gender identity, the new program trains law enforcement officers on what are such crimes and coordinates their investigation and prosecution.

Kyle Kaminski reports on the continuing Red Cedar development process, which is in hot water with some members of Lansing City Council. Arts editor Audrey Matusz speaks with Jason Gabriel from Capital City Film Festival and Skyler Ashley speaks with MSU comics expert Ryan Claytor about his new book “Coin-Op Carnival” and its book-signing event at Abrams Planetarium on April 14.
