East Lansing Mayor makes Final Four wager

Posted

THURSDAY, April 4 — East Lansing Mayor Mark Meadows is raising the stakes with the mayor from Lubbock, Texas, ahead of Michigan State University’s Final Four face-off with Texas Tech on Saturday evening.

A “friendly wager” was announced today between Meadows and Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope. And the losing team will have to fly the winning team’s flag outside of their respective city halls for one day after the game. The flag will apparently be supplied by the winning team, later signed and mailed back to the winning team’s mayor.

The Spartans will face off against the Raiders at 8:50 p.m. Saturday in Minneapolis.
