What's up in Lansing: "Dwell" artist talk and more

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this unseasonably warm Wednesday.

Artist and MSU assistant professor Xia Gao is speaking about her current exhibit, "Dwell," at the Lansing Art Gallery today at 3:30 p.m. Gao, who is originally from China, created the work on display in response to the problems posed by China's polluted air. The installation itself features a complex pattern of barely-visible threads which represent the easily-ignored dangers of smog in urban areas. To read more about "Dwell" check out City Pulse's article from the show's opening.3:30-4 p.m. Lansing Art Gallery, 119 N. Washington Square, Lansing. (517) 374-6400, lansingartgallery.org/dwell.

If you're interested in revisiting classic books from your childhood, you may also be interested in Okemos High School's production of Little Women: The Musical.
