Good day and happy weekend.

This weekend and the next are big for theater fans. For a synopsis of some of the area's ongoing plays, check out this article.

Local health and wellness non-profit Lettuce Live Well hosts a family friendly Community Holiday Party Saturday. Open to all residents in the tri-county area, the festivities include, in addition to holiday cheer, free food, music and exercise.

Santa plans to be in attendance to take family photos and maybe check out the Selfie Station. Also planned is a healthy holiday bake sale and $1 raffle drawings.

The day also marks the finale for the Celebrity Health Challenge. Lansing mayor Virg Bernero is a participant.
