Billy Currington, Eli Young Band to headline 2016 Taste of Country festival

MONDAY, Dec. 7 — Lansing country station WITL (100.7 FM) and Townsquare Media announced today the return of the Taste of Country music festival to Cooley Law School Stadium on June 11. The festival will feature two-time Grammy nominated artist Billy Currington and the ACM award winning Eli Young Band, with more country acts to be announced on WITL at a later date.

Tickets for Taste of Country will go on-sale on Wednesday at toclansing.com. A limited quantity of field tickets will be available for $25; once those tickets have been sold, the price will increase to $35. A limited quantity of stand tickets will be available for $20; once those have been sold, the price will increase to $30. WILT Country Club members we will have a chance to snag $15 field tickets on Tuesday while supplies last.

“The first Taste of Country was an awesome event last year where over 12,000 fans gathered downtown to experience a great night of country music. We are excited to host the event in Lansing again in 2016,” said Zoe Burdine-Fly, market president for Townsquare Media, Lansing. “We are thrilled to have Billy Currington and The Eli Young Band perform as we continue to bring country music’s best to Lansing.”

Lansing’s Taste of Country music festival is part of the larger Taste of Country brand, featuring a national digital website, tasteofcountry.com; a syndicated radio show, Taste of Country Nights; and several other large events including the Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter, N.Y.
