Climate change has become one of the nation’s most hotly debated environmental issues. To further conversation on the topic, the Sierra Club and the East Lansing Film Festival are teaming up to bring an exclusive screening of “This Changes Everything” to East Lansing. The documentary attempts to re-imagine the challenge of climate change by taking a close look at communities on the front lines of environmental change. Directed by Avi Lewis and inspired by Naomi Klein’s best-selling book of the same name, the film focuses on seven communities struggling with the effects of climate change. Filmed over 211 days in nine countries and five continents over four years, “This Changes Everything” attempts to put a human face on this complex issue. 7 p.m. $5/$3 seniors/FREE for students. Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, East Lansing. (517) 980-5802.
