What's up in Lansing: "Pride and Prejudice" and more

Here's what's going on in town today

Posted

Good day on this mild Friday.

While “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” has just hit movie theaters, don't expect the undead to make an appearance in MSU Department of Theatre's production of the classic Jane Austen novel. The play follows five sisters as they deal with the pressure to marry in early 19th century England. “Pride and Prejudice” is the final MSU production for several of the cast and crew who plan to graduate this spring. 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; 8 p.m. Friday; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday. Fairchild Theatre, 542 Auditorium Road, East Lansing. (517) 432-2000, theatre.msu.edu.

LCC Theatre also opens a play today: "The Threepenny Opera," which brought us the famous Mack the Knife character. You can read about their steampunk-styled production here.
