Smithfield to headline Silver Bells in the City

THURSDAY, Oct. 27 — Downtown Lansing Inc. announced this week that country duo Smithfield will headline this year’s Silver Bells in the City. The 32nd annual holiday festival returns to downtown Lansing Nov. 18 through 20.

Nashville-based country outfit Smithfield comprises vocalists Trey Smith and Jennifer Fiedler. Founded in 2011, the duo of Texas natives has opened for artists like Eric Paslay, Scotty McCreery and Jana Kramer. The group scored airplay on CMT and SiriusXM for its latest single, “Hey Whiskey,” off its 2015 self-titled debut album. Smithfield will perform 8 to 9 p.m. Nov. 18 following the fireworks display.

Other Silver Bells in the City offerings include the Electric Light Parade and a community sing Nov. 18, the Silver Bells 5K Nov. 19 and Breakfast with Santa on Nov. 19 and 20.
