Posted

TUESDAY, Nov. 22 — The lighting of the state Christmas tree, which was postponed because of Friday night’s severe rainstorm, has been rescheduled for tonight.

The tree lighting ceremony will be led by Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero, Lansing BWL CEO Dick Peffley and Matt White of the Michigan Capitol Commission. Local singer/songwriter Taylor Taylor will perform a few carols prior to the lighting of the tree.

The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. tonight in front of the State Capitol Building.
