Here's what's going on in town today

Good day on this freezing Friday.

Lansing women's chorus Sistrum presents its annual cabaret-style holiday concert, this year under the guidance of its new artistic director, DeWitt Public Schools choral conductor Meghan Eldred. The concert features music celebrating several religious traditions, including new and classic tunes, as well as works inspired by the poetry of Robert Frost and Sara Teasdale. Audience members are invited to join on several numbers, and American Sign Language interpretation is provided for both concerts. $15 /$100 for table of eight. 7 p.m. Friday; 3 p.m. Saturday. Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing.

Holiday music comes alive at Riverwalk Theatre this weekend as two local dance groups team up for a special holiday show. Happendance, one of the longest running modern dance companies in Michigan, and MSU Orchesis, a student dance organization, come together to perform a seasonal concert on Riverwalk's intimate stage. Dancers are set to perform several short pieces, ranging from classical ballet to contemporary dance and hip hop. 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday. $15/$10 seniors, students and military. Riverwalk Theatre, 228 Museum Drive, Lansing. (517) 482-5700,
