What's up in Lasing: Ugly sweater contest and more

Good day on this cloudy Friday.

In recent years, ugly holiday sweaters have become virtually inescapable, with contests for the most garish getups cropping up in workplaces, holiday parties and even bars. Old Town’s Esquire Bar hosts its own ugly sweater contest Friday, with all-night karaoke to go along with it. The owner of the best (worst?) sweater wins a $50 cash prize.
