Wild Ones, a nonprofit organization that promotes environmental education and advocacy, hosts a meeting this evening at Fenner Nature Center. Guest speaker Matt Demmon, of PlantWise LCC, speaks on how to use water as resource in man-made landscaping. Demmon presents on rain gardens, rain barrels, green roofs, detention basins and more. The aesthetic and ecological benefits of capturing storm water is a hot topic among city planners and environmentalists across the country, including in Lansing. 7-9 p.m. FREE.
