Good day on this snowy Tuesday.

Today is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness day. According to the Ingham County Health Department, African-Americans in the United States are disproportionately affected by HIV. In honor of the day, the health department is offering free, anonymous HIV testing to all residents, regardless of race or ethnicity. Those who are tested can talk to a consultant about reducing risk, and also receive a free Meijer gift card. No appointment is needed, and testing takes up to 45 minutes. 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. FREE. Forest Community Health Center, 2316 S. Cedar St., Lansing. (517) 887-4424, hd.ingham.org.
