On this day:

Who doesn't enjoy a good Waltz? On this day in 1812, the Waltz was introduced into English ballrooms for the first time and many of observers of the time might not have agreed with our shared enthusiasm. The dance was recieved with harsh criticism, many calling the dance, "disgusting and immoral." Here's a link to a brief history of the historic dance.
