What's Up in Lansing: Hula Hoop with Lansing Hoops

Posted

You might remember Hula Hoops from childhood as a fun toy, but they can be so much more than that! If you’ve been looking for a fun alternative to traditional exercise, or even a new form of expression, maybe it’s time to start Hula Hooping!

Lansing Hoops is a local organization that teaches hoop dance throughout mid-Michigan. According to their website, “hoop dance is a great way to get fit and have fun, but can also be a meditative movement practice, similar to yoga or other mental-physical-spiritual exercises.”

Lansing Hoops offers everything from weekly classes to private parties and appearances at community events.
