What's Up in Lansing: Family Day: Invention

Posted

Though modern art might conjure up imagery of refined adults, the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University has partnered with Farm Bureau Insurance to change that perception. The museum offers family days, geared toward alerting young children to the benefits of art, while allowing them to enjoy it with their parents. The last Family Day theme was “Reflection.” At that event, children were introduced to the many ways that art can reflect the outside world. This time around, the theme of “Invention” will encourage children to bring their new, and innovative ideas to the museum, in order to build new things.
