What's Up in Lansing: "A Dog's Purpose"

Posted

This week, experience both comedy and drama with Monday’s Movie Matinee. At 1 p.m., the East Lansing Public Library will be showing “A Dog’s Purpose,” a film by Lars Sven Hallström. Hallstöm is perhaps best known for his work directing ABBA’s promotional films and for movies like “Chocolat” and “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.”

“A Dog’s Purpose” follows the life of a dog that gets reincarnated as multiple canines, each time teaching humans life lessons about themselves. The plot is told through the eyes of the canine itself.
