Tickets for ‘Hamilton’ at Wharton on sale Saturday

MONDAY, March 18 — Single tickets for the road company tour of the Broadway blockbuster “Hamilton” at the Wharton Center go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. The show runs May 14 through June 2.

Tickets will be available at whartoncenter.com, the box office or by phone at 1-800-WHARTON.

The mixtape turned Broadway musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda cleaned house at the box office and the 2016 Tony Awards. Songs from the production have been played on music streaming services 365 million times and counting.

The most secure way of purchasing tickets for the East Lansing production is through the Wharton’s box office. There is a four-ticket limit per household. Prices range from $73.50 to $163.50, with a few $398.50 premium seats available for all performances.

Fans of the show are likely already aware of the Ham4Ham Digital Lottery — the cheapest way to play. There will be 40 $10 seats available through the lottery. Details will be announced closer to the engagement.

The show’s producer, Jeffrey Seller, said buyers should take caution when buying third-party.

“It’s tempting to get tickets any way you can. There are many sites and people who are selling overpriced and, in some cases, fraudulent tickets,” said Jeffery Seller, Producer of “Hamilton.”
