Blues on the Grand presents Vasti Jackson

Vasti Jackson plays at the Blues on the Grand series Thursday at Gillespie Marketplace, located at Shiawassee Street and Grand Avenue. The show opens with a set from Six Hands Down at 6 p.m.; Jackson takes the stage at 7 p.m.

The series, sponsored by WMMQ-FM, continues with Jimmy Thackery on July 8; Big Bill and the Blues Ambassadors and Homemade Jamz on July 22; Stan Budzynski and the Third Degree and Sonny Moorman on July 29; Frog and the Beeftones and Carl Weathersby on Aug. 5; and Kathleen Bolthouse and Joanne Shaw Taylor on Aug. 12.
