Lansing is a city striving for inclusivity during an unprecedented era of divisiveness. At a time of year when religious celebrations around the world focus on peace and harmony, shouldn't we strive to embrace all the symbols of peace that we can? Why does this have to be "a headache" at all? The holidays should have equal representation on the Capitol's grounds because no one holiday is more important than another, period. They should all take up the same amount of space, have equal lighting, security, and maintenance. Don't give any reasons for people to get headaches in the first place. Inclusivity can be simple but politics make everything more complicated than it has to be.
