First of all, you lied.

"An armed man who identified himself as “head of security” at the Capitol rally demanded that multiple photographers — including Managing Editor Kyle Kaminski — stop taking photographs and delete those in which he was pictured. Since the rally was obviously public and there’s no expectation of privacy in the middle of the sidewalk near the Capitol lawn, he didn’t comply"

You were audio recording a private conversation over your shoulder, while making it look like you were looking forward. Recording a private conversation is illegal without consent.

And you left immediately after I informed our volunteer security staff, comprised of everyone behind me in the picture, that you were illegally recording their conversation.

And I never asked anyone else to stop recording or to remove the pictures they took. YET another lie.

Can you write a story without lying? The Detroit News photographer took multiple pictures without lying about who he was or what he was doing. But you scurried off pretty quick after you realized you weren't welcome there.
