206 S. Holmes St., Lansing
Not all eyesores are lost causes. In the case of this 1,289-square-foot home, boarded up just west of The Fledge, owner Lior Ron told City Pulse it’s set to be rehabilitated sometime next year. He bought it in May 2023 from 13 Four Asset Management LLC as part of a four-building deal through his company, The Synergy Effect LLC, a branch of his “mothership” organization, Lansing Dream Homes. “We buy properties, fix them and rent or sometimes them,” he said. “Of that portfolio, two are already completed and the others are on our list for 2025.” Built in 1914 and boarded up twice since 2021, before Ron purchased it, he said this house “is probably going to be the last of those we’ll be working on.” Because it’s unoccupied, Ron said it took a lower priority than the other three. His work also includes another company, The House Collective, which in 2023 received a $250,000 grant from the Ingham County Housing Trust Fund to renovate a 20-unit property at 724 N. Pennsylvania Ave. To date, Ron said he’s worked on more than 100 houses throughout Lansing.
