THURSDAY, March 26 — Small businesses in the Lansing region may apply for $10,000 grants to help them through the coronavirus emergency.
LEAP – Lansing Economic Area Leadership — announced yesterday it has received $600,000 in Small Business Emergency Relief Funds from the Michigan Economic Development Corp. Applicants must be Michigan-based companies with fewer than 50 full- or part-time employees, among other criteria.
Applications will be available tomorrow or Saturday and will be accepted through Tuesday.
LEAP’s announcement also said:
A multi-stage, multi-entity panel comprised of representatives from the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), Capital Region Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW!) will review applications and select awardees.
Grants will be awarded by April 6. Grants should be awarded within two days.
