NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

EAST LANSING CITY COUNCIL

PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF EAST LANSING’S COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN

Notice is hereby given of the following public hearing to be held by the East Lansing City Council on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 7:00PM, at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI 48823:

A public hearing will be held to consider the following substantial amendment to the City of East Lansing’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program budget:

Reallocate a total of $197,530 from the City of East Lansing Homeowner Rehabilitation Program to the following CDBG public infrastructure projects:

• $118,765 to the City of East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation, and Arts Northern Tier Trail Extension Project.
• $78,765 to the City of East Lansing Department of Public Works’ FY2026 CDBG Sidewalk Project.

This public hearing will follow a public comment period on the proposed amendments. The public comment period will begin June 5, 2025, and end July 8, 2025 at 5PM.

The public may view the above substantial amendment at the Department of Planning, Building, and Development, East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road, East Lansing, MI 48823 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, or online at https://cityofeastlansing.com/2458/Active-Public-Notices.
