Great people are what makes Greater Lansing thrive, and City Pulse has always sought to recognize those individuals.
Today, we introduce the People Contest — spun off from our annual Top of the Town contest. TOTT was just getting too big, so we decided to brighten your Spring with a stand-alone People Contest.
Here are the rules:
To get started, please visit lansingcitypulse.com. There you will find a banner at the top of the home page which will take you to the contest’s home page and links to register and vote.
To begin voting once you’ve reached the contest home page and registered, select any category and follow the prompts in the pop-up window.
Take a look at all of the nominations that have already been made. If people you want to vote for are already listed, you can vote for them — no need to nominate again. If they haven’t been nominated, you can do so (and that will count as your vote). At that point, others can vote for them, too. And yes, you can nominate yourself in a category where you are eligible! (WWTD? Hint: T=Trump.)
Please note that all votes are submitted automatically. Once you’ve cast them, you’re done. Don’t worry about a second submission screen. If you need to stop and come back to your ballot, or your internet browser closed, you can return to the site, log back in and continue voting exactly where you left off.
As always, you can vote in as many (or as few) categories as you wish, but please remember to finish your ballot before 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, April 16.
The Top of the Town People Contest has just one round. The Top 3 will be announced in our April 30 issue.
Also, when you vote or nominate, you have an opportunity to comment. Please do so!
If need be, you can also send us your list of votes via snail mail to Steve Underwood at City Pulse, 1905 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912.
And make sure you sign up for our newsletters. If you’re not sure if you’re one of the 16,000+ signed up already, enter your email address and we will sort it out for you and make sure you only get it once.
Now, turn the page to see all our People categories. Then head to lansingcitypulse.com.revfluent.com/tott to nominate and vote!
