LAFCU’s Eaton Rapids community block party will combine family fun and financial education, offering an opportunity “connect, learn and share in the spirit of financial wellness,” creative director Kellie Swiger said.
Attendees can enjoy free Moo-ville ice cream, bounce houses, caricatures, photo opportunities and music by DJ Ozay Moore of All of the Above Hip Hop Academy. All guests will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win prizes from local businesses such as Mr. Leslie’s Cheesecakes, Quality Dairy, tattoo shop Vivid Ink, Moneyball Sportswear and auto detailing service Ziebart of Lansing. Food will be available for purchase from Big Cheezy Grill food truck and a concession stand with snow cones and popcorn.
New LAFCU members registered at the event and existing members who purchase a new product or service will receive a $10 voucher for Big Cheezy Grill and an opportunity to grab some cash in a money booth.
Inside the building, free financial talks will cover three topics: where to put your money in today’s market, LAFCU lending programs and the benefits of Small Business Administration 7(a) loans, and LAFCU products and services.
