On this day: Ever wonder what May Day is? The day historically has two meanings for celebration. The one that maybe isn't qutite as celebrated is a seasonal celebration that started with the pagans to celebrate the start of the summer season. In 1886, there was a historic strike for fair working conditions, including the 8 hour work day. Here's another article about the origins of the holiday.
