EVOLVE! block party and drag/burlesque shows

To close out Pride Month, Tease A Gogo, a Lansing-based burlesque, drag and comedy event series, and House of Manifestation, a Lansing-based performers’ collective, are teaming up to host their 2^nd annual Pride-themed block party 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday (July 1) in REO Town.

The event is all-inclusive and open to all ages, focusing on allyship, art and self-love. There will be kids’ activities, live music and performances, vendor booths, food and drinks for purchase and chances to connect with LGBTQ+ community members and local organizations that support LGBTQ+ interests.

There is a $10 suggested donation for attendees.

After the block party, guests ages 18 and older can stick around for a House of Manifestation drag show at 6:30 p.m., hosted by local drag performer Auroara Manifesto, and a Tease A Gogo burlesque show at 8:30 p.m., hosted by Grand Rapids-based artist, comedian and character actor Sarah Jean Anderson.
