DAOM’s Halloween Soiree Weekend

Spooky season is here, and the Dark Art of Michigan is celebrating with its annual Halloween Soiree Weekend. The festivities kick off Friday with a performance art showcase hosted by Secretia Noxious, AKA Tiesha King, owner of Thrift Witch and co-founder of the Dark Art of Michigan. Performers include Belle Endowed, Thon, Seraphim Sin, Mag N. Cheez, Misty Smoke and many other local entertainers. DJ Maus, “back-porch rock” band Moon Pony and Detroit band Access to Concrete will provide music into the following morning.

Saturday evening brings performances by Leena Allure, Asio Aviance, Prince Marsallis, Lishes LaMoan, Happy Birthday and more, as well as music by DJ Club Kid, queercore/power-pop band Pet Me and rock band Toad-Eater.

Triple Goddess Bookstore and Ruckus Ramen will be open for business both evenings. There will also be costume contests, with categories including “most creative,” “most scary,” “most sexy” and “best cosplay.” Entry is $10.
