Lansing Police investigating stabbing death near downtown Lansing Center
Lansing Police officers are investigating a fatal stabbing believed to have happened in the 300 block of E. Michigan Avenue, which is near the downtown Lansing Center convention hall.
Police said they were dispatched for a suspicious situation and arrived to find a 22-year-old man with a stab wound. Officers and fire fighters provided medical care but the man was declared dead at the scene, according to a statement from the Lansing Police Department.
No arrests have been made and there is an active investigation. Police ask that anyone with information contact them at 517-483-4600, Crime Stoppers at 517-483-7867, or send a private message through the Lansing Police Department’s Facebook page.
This is the fourth homicide in the city this year, there were five homicides at this time last year, according to Advance Peace Initiative data, which focuses on gun violence.
