63-year-old pedestrian dies after being struck in Lansing

Lansing Police said they found a man who was struck by a vehicle in the 3200 block of E. Grand River Avenue around 11 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 19).

Police were called around 11 p.m. and found a 63-year-old man, efforts at life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to police.

Jordan Gulkis, a spokesperson for Lansing Police, said a witness called 911 and she had no further information. Gulkis did not respond to a question about whether police were looking for a vehicle.

It is not clear whether the vehicle stopped or left the scene.
