80th Michigan Antiquarian Book & Paper Show

The 80th Michigan Antiquarian Book & Paper Show promises attendees will “find the things you’ve always wanted, but never knew existed.” The event, running for more than 40 years (often twice annually) is staged by Ray Walsh, the founder and longtime owner of Curious Books in East Lansing.

Just a peek inside the Causeway Bay Hotel and Conference Center, at the sea of book shelves, tables and other vendor displays, reveals that a patient search is likely to yield literary and cultural treasures for almost every interest. 

It’s not just books on offer, but “ephemera,” including magazines, sheet music, posters, post cards, trading cards, maps and atlases, special prints and beyond. That’s in addition to first editions, rare books, children’s books, science fiction, military history, mysteries, cookbooks, private press and much more.
