CITY OF EAST LANSING SUMMARY
OF ADOPTED ORDINANCE # 1576
On September 8, 2026, the East Lansing City Council adopted an Ordinance of the City of East Lansing, Michigan, to amend East Lansing City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 50, Zoning, Article VI, Division 2, General Office Business District, B-1, section 50-552; Division 3, Retail Sales Business District, B-2, section 50-572; Division 4, City Center Commercial District, B-3, section 50-592; Division 5, Restricted Office Business District, B-4, Section 50-612; Division 6, Community Retail Sales Business District, B-5, section 50-632; Article VII, Division 6, section 50-794; and Division 8, section 50-806, of the code of the City of East Lansing, to require special use permit for certain multiple-family dwelling units provided within a building that also contains one or more principal uses permitted subject to a site plan, to correct citations to the Michigan Liquor Control Code of 1998, Act 58 of 1998, and to require LEED certification or pre-certification from an accredited organization relative to the incentive point structure for development.
