Michigan Chicken Wing Festival

2-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5-Saturday, Sept. 6
Adado Riverfront Park
201 E. Shiawassee St., Lansing
The 12th annual Michigan Chicken Wing Festival invites attendees to try over 30 flavors of wings from several vendors, who will be competing for the coveted people’s choice award.
It doesn’t stop there. With two full days of live music on the main stage, plus a line dancing contest, wing-eating contests, a kids’ zone and plenty of shopping, there will be no shortage of fun. The musical lineup includes, but is not limited to, gospel musician Michelle Miller Bell, country/blues/rock band The Split Shifters, Detroit vocalist Denise Davis, DJ Yung and DJ Dazzlin’ Dena.
Two VIP ticket packages are available for purchase online, offering early entry, raffle tickets, VIP tent access, free drinks, six free wing samples and a goody bag. Non-VIP guests will be able to purchase wings directly from vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
Part of the proceeds from the event will go to the Against All Odds Foundation, which supports cancer survivors by helping with essential needs like groceries, prescription co-pays, cell phone bills and transportation to appointments in addition to running Lillian’s, a free retail store in the Lansing Mall.
