It’s the biggest recycling event of the year! (In mid-Michigan, at least.)

Recycle Rama offers an opportunity to finally get rid of all those extra-hard-to-dispose-of items.

Accepted items include styrofoam, CFL and LED light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, medications, thermometers, hearing aids, eyeglasses, electronics ($20 fee per TV/monitor, cash or check only), plastic, glass bottles and jars, cardboard, paper, books, bicycles, scrap metal and appliances. Lansing Board of Water and Light customers can get a $25 rebate for bringing in air conditioners and dehumidifiers. 

Household items aren’t accepted, but residents can schedule a free at-home pickup with Simple Recycling.
