‘Ten for Ten on Fire’

Ten mid-Michigan clay artists are each displaying 10 pieces of work in the “Ten for Ten on Fire” exhibit at Owosso’s Shiawassee Arts Center, running through April 19. Altogether, the artists have more than 250 years of working with clay under their belts.

One is Barbara Hranilovich, a Lansing resident whose work is cross-disciplinary and focuses on animals, plants and human faces. Another is Wenfen Pan, an Okemos artist who creates functional pottery, including teapots. Doug DeLind, a Mason resident, creates abstract art with a focus on human faces and surreal glazes.

The Shiawassee Arts Center is free to the public and open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. The “Ten for Ten on Fire” exhibit runs alongside artwork by David Broadworth of Swartz Creek, Rochelle Aultman of Coleman and Karen Mead of Owosso.
