NOTICE OF REGISTRATION
FOR TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026, ELECTION
To the qualified electors of the City of Lansing:
Please take notice that the City of Lansing will hold an Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
For the purpose of electing candidates to the following offices:
Partisan Section
State: Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General; Congressional: United States Senator, Representative in Congress; Legislative: State Senator, Representative in State Legislature; State Boards: Member of State Board of Education, Regent of University of Michigan, Trustee of Michigan State University, Governor of Wayne State University. (NOTE: Straight Party Ticket will be a voting option for this election)
Nonpartisan Section
Judicial: Justice of Supreme Court, Judge of Court of Appeals, Judge of Circuit Court, Judge of Probate Court (Ingham only), Judge of District Court; Lansing Community College: Board of Trustees Member; Local School District: Board Member
For the purpose of voting on the following proposals:
State: A Proposal to Convene a Constitutional Convention for the Purpose of Drafting a General Revision of the State Constitution, A Proposal to Prohibit Campaign Contributions from Certain Regulated Utilities and Government Contractors and Apply Campaign Finance Laws and Regulation to Additional Types of Political Communications; County: Eaton County Transportation Authority (EATRAN) Millage Renewal Authorization Question, Eaton County Local Roads and Streets Preservation and Improvement Millage Proposal; City of Lansing: Essential Services Millage Restoration Proposal, Citizens’ Advisory Healthcare Action Board Charter Amendment; Local School District: Holt Public Schools Operating Millage Renewal Proposal
Full text of the ballot proposals may be obtained at the Lansing Elections Office, 701 W. Jolly Rd., Lansing, Michigan 48910, telephone: (517) 483-4131.
Any qualified elector who is not already registered may register to vote at the office of their local clerk, the office of their county clerk, a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agency. Registration forms may be obtained at www.Michigan.gov/vote and mailed to or dropped off at the office of the local clerk. Any qualified elector can also register to vote at www.Michigan.gov/vote. Voters who are already registered may update their voter registration at www.Michigan.gov/vote.
The last day to register in any manner other than in-person at the Lansing City Clerk’s Office is Monday, October 19, 2026.
After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.492) at the following locations and times:

ABSENT VOTER BALLOTS
Any registered voter may request an Absent Voter Ballot. No reason required.
The Lansing City Clerk’s Office must have a signed application from the voter to issue an Absent Voter Ballot. Applications are available at the locations referenced in the above tables or by visiting our website at LansingVotes.gov.
Friday, October 30, 2026, at 5:00 pm is the deadline to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you.
Monday, November 2, 2026, at 4:00 pm is the deadline to request an absentee ballot in person, except for those who register to vote on Election Day.
Those registering to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, are eligible to receive an absent voter ballot at the Lansing City Clerk’s Office, locations referenced in the above table.
