After 29 years and hundreds of screenings, the East Lansing Film Festival is calling it quits.

The final festival, which promises to end things on a high note, kicks off with a new comedy-drama film by actor and filmmaker Bruce Campbell, known for his roles in “Bubba-Ho-Tep,” “Burn Notice” and the “Evil Dead” series. The film, titled “Ernie & Emma,” centers on small-town pear salesman Ernie Taylor and the journey he embarks on following the death of his wife.

The festival continues through Sunday with three blocks of short films, a block of short documentaries and several full-length independent gems. The full schedule is available online.

Tickets are $15 for the opening night feature and $12 for all other films, with a pass granting access to every screening available for $60. Student tickets are $8.
