How can I vote today in Lansing?

Lansing voters are weighing in today on a variety of partisan races as well as more than half a dozen ballot initiatives.

Polling places are open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You will be allowed to vote after 8 p.m. as long as you are in line by 8 p.m.

Capital Area Transportation Authority (517-394-1000) will provide free rides on election day upon showing your voter registration card.
Poll workers can provide assistance to vote, so can anyone else except for union representatives or employers.
Every voter will be asked for photo identification. If you do not have ID with you, you will be required to sign an affidavit of voter not in possession of ID.
Same day voting instructions: You must register to vote in person at your City or Township Clerk’s Office with proof of residency in that City or Township.For City of Lansing residents we have two locations: City Hall and our Elections Office located at 701 W. Jolly Rd. Voters who register to vote on Election Day have the option of voting an absentee ballot at the Clerk’s office or they can receive a receipt and vote in person at their precinct.
