Man charged in Aug. 20 stabbing death

Ingham County prosecutors have charged a man following the stabbing death Aug. 20.

Prosecutors charged Edward Joseph Smith with open murder, as a habitual second offender and he is being held without bond after an arraignment in the 54-A District Court.

Lansing Police have identified Daniel Lusk, 22, as the victim. He was found under the bridge at E. Michigan Avenue and S. Grand Avenue around 4 a.m. on Aug. 20, according to prosecutors.
