NOTICE: MERIDIAN RESIDENTS
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF MERIDIAN
INGHAM COUNTY, MICHIGAN
PUBLIC HEARING: 2027 BUDGET
SEPTEMBER 15, 2026
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Notice is hereby given that the Township Board of the Charter Township of Meridian will hold a Public Hearing on the 2027 Township Budget for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2027 on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, not earlier than 6:00 pm in the Town Hall Room at the Township Municipal Building located at 5151 Marsh Road, Okemos, MI 48864.
This meeting will also be televised on HOMTV, Meridian Township’s Government Access Channel. Viewers can watch LIVE coverage on Comcast Channel 21, homtv.net, facebook.com/HOMTV, youtube.com/user/21HOMTV and http://meridianmi.swagit.com/live/.
As of September 11, 2026, copies of the proposed budget are on file and available to the public during office hours [8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday] at the Office of the Township Clerk. A copy is also posted on the Township’s website at www.meridian.mi.us.
Citizens attending the hearing have the right to provide written or oral comment and to ask questions concerning the entire budget. Written comments/communications should be submitted to the Clerk’s Office by any of the following means:

The divisions of the proposed 2027 Budget are General Fund, Public Works Funds, Special Revenue Funds, Debt Service Funds, Capital Projects Funds and the Internal Service Fund.
THE PROPERTY TAX MILLAGE RATE PROPOSED TO BE LEVIED TO SUPPORT THE PROPOSED BUDGET WILL BE A SUBJECT OF THIS HEARING.
