New Year’s Eve events in Greater Lansing

Though we haven’t even made it through Christmas yet, New Year’s Eve is bound to sneak up between winter break activities, time off of work and travel plans. For those who are sticking around, City Pulse has compiled a list of events throughout the day, evening and into the early morning — ranging from a masquerade murder mystery dinner and an ‘80s throwback concert to dance parties and more intimate bar gatherings — so you don’t miss a thing.

 

New Year’s Eve at High Caliber

High Caliber Karting & Entertainment invites daredevils and thrill seekers to kick off their 2026 at full speed with a plethora of attractions and special activities, including best of 2025 trivia, a tournament on the Mega Track (with a year of unlimited racing for the winner), karaoke, a DJ, a rage room and a midnight balloon drop. The event will also offer selfie stations, glow accessories and specialty cocktails and mocktails.

Launch Trampoline Park New Year’s Eve celebration

This youth-focused New Year’s celebration will offer unlimited jumping and laser tag, complimentary grip socks, a reloadable arcade card with eight credits, a balloon drop with a juice toast, crafts, party favors and photos with Launch’s kangaroo mascot, Joey. BAD Brewing Co. invites attendees of its Y2K-themed New Year’s Eve celebration to relive the era when “the music slapped, the snacks were bomb and the games were hella competitive.” Appetizers, dinner and dessert will be served. Bingo and other games will start at 6 p.m., with winners receiving prizes and the opportunity to select the next song. The event will end well before midnight, allowing guests to attend additional parties or gatherings.

 

New Year’s Eve contra and square dance

The Ten Pound Fiddle invites contra and square dancers to groove their way into 2026, with music by the Sligo Creek Ramblers (Marty Somberg, Hannah Harris and Bear Whitmer) and dance calling by Liz Burkhart. The evening will kick off with a potluck. Guests should bring a dish to share and a place setting. There will be a dance lesson prior to the main event and a break at 9:45 for desserts.

 

Summerlands Brewing Co. New Year’s Eve celebration

Summerlands will debut a new beer, a Belgian dubbel, at its New Year’s Eve party. The brew is described as “rich and flavorful,” with notes of dark fruit, caramel and subtle spice. Rock band Krosby’s Konspiracy will perform from 8 to 11, and the brewery’s Bubbly Blanc hard seltzer will be discounted to $2 for a midnight toast.

 

Rock Bar New Year’s Eve party

Local cover band Starfarm will spend New Year’s Eve serenading the crowd at Grewal Hall with a lengthy setlist of ‘80s hits, from pop to rock to new wave. Proceeds will benefit Punks with Lunch. TGIF New Year’s Eve Midnight Blue Dance Party

Tickets purchased online in advance will include access to an express entry line. The AC Hotel, an event sponsor, is offering a discounted rate for attendees from out of town or locals who would like to spend the night away from home.
