Here's what's going on in town today

Good day on this sunny Thursday.

The Lansing English Country Dancers offer an introduction to their dancing style today. Four instructors will teach and prompt the dances to beginners and experienced participants alike. And there's no canned music to step along to — the evening comes with live music provided by the Barnes Owls. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and flat, nonslip shoes. No partner is necessary. 7-9:30 p.m. $6/students $4/MSU students FREE. Snyder/Phillips Hall, 362 Bogue St., East Lansing.
