East Lansing Police looking for tips after weekend shootings

East Lansing Police Department is asking for tips and video after two shootings this weekend left five people injured.

Police said Wednesday evening in a news release that the two shootings appear to be unconnected and none of the victims were Michigan State University students.

The statement said police recovered seven guns from the two shooting locations.

Investigators believe that several gunmen in each shooting left the area immediately after firing. Witnesses and victims provided the descriptions of the shooters, according to police.
