Man killed in officer-involved shooting in Lansing

A man was shot and killed during an incident with officers from the Lansing Police Department around 4:21 a.m. this morning in the 600 block of E. Jolly Road, according to police.

The incident included 911 calls about a man armed with a handgun and banging on doors and windows, according to a statement from police.

No Lansing residents or police officers were injured, according to the statement.

The police department did not release further details about the incident.

The shooting will be investigated by the Michigan State Police, according to LPD policy.
