For those counting down the days to Halloween, this festival, marketed toward “ghouls and goblins of all ages,” might be the ticket.
How-To Halloween, which supports local nonprofits, is a family-friendly festival celebrating “creativity, imagination and the innovative spirit” by showcasing an exhibit hall packed with theatrical displays, interactive games, unique vendors and live entertainment from The Shake Ups, dressed as cartoon characters.
As always, there is trick-or-treating for the kids and costume contests with prizes. Now in its eighth year, the annual event also hosts the 12th annual Downtown Lansing Zombie Walk, which invites all to dress as the undead and walk from the Lansing Center to the Capitol for a “frightfully fantastic photo op.”
The walk happens Sunday, Oct. 23. Registration starts at 3 p.m. inside the Lansing Center by Exhibit Hall C.
