Lansing businesses receive $10,000 rescue fund grants

Mayor recognizes ‘it is not nearly enough’ to help local businesses

FRIDAY, May 1 — The city of Lansing announced a series of COVID-19 “Rescue Fund” grants today amid the first in a series of phases of funding geared to assist local residents.

“While we are making a substantial investment in Lansing’s business community, we fully recognize it is not nearly enough to address the funding needs of our small businesses,” said Lansing Mayor Andy Schor. “I am committed to continuing to help our local businesses as they navigate the immediate and long-term challenges created by the coronavirus crisis.”

The grants are part of the city’s Small Business Recovery Program. Lansing and the Lansing Economic Area Partnership created the fund to provide immediate relief to local businesses.

Each of the following businesses have been selected for a $10,000 grant:
