Lansing’s REACH Art Studio holding postcard exhibition 

THURSDAY, Aug. 20  — REACH Art Studio Center has found a number of creative ways to keep engaging with the Lansing community, including a program that gave art supplies to local children and a PDF coloring book.  

Local artists, get ready. REACH’s latest endeavor is a “#CallForArt” that anyone can participate in, regardless of age or skill level. The #CallForArt is all in preparation for a Postcard Exhibition to be held at REACH from Sept. 11 to Oct. 16.  

To get involved, all you have to do is download a blank PDF postcard provided by REACH, available on its Facebook page. Postcards are also available at REACH’s main entrance. There is one postcard pick-up box and one drop-off box to use when you’re finished. The deadline for submitting a postcard is Aug. 31. 

Once you print it out, the rest is up to you and your imagination. The possibilities are endless. Artists are invited to paint, draw or collage on their cards. Whatever strikes their fancy.  

All the finished postcards will be hung up in REACH. In a post on their Facebook page, they wrote,  “Help us fill our gallery walls with art postcards made by YOU.  We miss you and want to hear from you!” 

Artists can also put their name and e-mail on the postcard if they would like it displayed on REACH’s social media pages.
